Fluency Incorporated, located in
Carmichael, California is a pioneer in the field of Internet language
management solutions for Language Service Providers. Fluency licenses its
software as a service (Saas) Internet solutions for managing and dispatching
face-to-face Interpreters. Harnessing the range of Fluency products, language
service managers are empowered with efficient, cost-effective tools to train,
track, manage, test and deploy Interpreters.
Fluency is one of just
several companies to offer an industry specific, Internet-based scheduling
system and the only company in the nation, to offer a validated, Internet-based
medical interpreting test.
Currently, Fluency offers three
unique products for the Interpreting Industry. The Internet Interpreter
Scheduling System (I2S2™)-Fluency's core product-provides a single point
of online entry for requesters of interpreting services, freelance professional
Interpreters and language service providers across the nation. The I2S2™
went live in April of 2005 and was commercialized in 2006. The Medical
Interpreter's Test on the Internet (MITI Test™), released in 2008 is the
nation's only Internet-native medical interpreting test.
In
July 2009, Fluency concluded working on the country's first regional solution
to on-site interpreting-The Fluency Portal™ managing regional face-to-face
Interpreters under sub-contract with the Alameda County Coalition on Language
Access in Healthcare (ACCLAH) and funded by The California Endowment. Fluency
is now working on the second phase of this project in partnership with the
Alameda Alliance for Heath. |
